Lochkamerafotos / Pinhole Photos

Ich bin Dagie, der eine Teil von Café Müller! Ich bin Super-8-Filmerin und Lochkamerafotografin. Meine Lieblingslochkamera ist aus einer Illykaffeedose hergestellt und schon ziemlich verbeult, weil ich sie seit Jahren überall hin mitnehme. Sie hat ein 0,3-mm-kleines Loch. In der Dose steckt meistens ein Stück s/w-Negativfilm, die Belichtungszeit ist je nach Sonnenschein zwischen 1 Sekunde und mehreren Minuten!

Jetzt zur Jahreswende war nicht gerade ideales Wetter im Norden, aber ich hab trotzdem ein paar Fotos gemacht.

Meine Idee ist es, Fotos, die ich lokal mache, mit lokalen Suppen zu entwickeln, das heißt zum Beispiel: Essensreste (aus Früchten und Gemüse) verkochen und mit Waschsoda und Vitamin-C-Pulver zu einem kräftigen Entwickler vermixen. Oder alles mögliche Grüne, was ab Frühling so in der Umgebung wachsen wird.

Denn in jeder Pflanze stecken Phenole, das sind aromatische Bitterstoffe, die, zusammen mit Waschsoda und Vitamin C, die fotografischen Silbersalze in metallisches Silber umwandeln. Die Basis der Schwarzweißnegativfotografie!

I’m Dagie, one part of Café Müller! I’m a Super 8 filmmaker and pinhole photographer. My favorite pinhole camera is made out of an Illy coffee can and it’s pretty distorted from carrying it everywhere for years. It has a 0.3mm small hole. There is usually a piece of b/w negative film in the can, the exposure time is between 1 second and several minutes, depending on the sunshine!

Now at the turn of the year the weather in the North wasn’t exactly ideal, but anyway … I took a few photos.

My idea is to develop photos that I take locally with local soups, for example: boiling food leftovers (from fruits and vegetables) and mix them with washing soda and vitamin C powder to form a powerful developer. Or all sorts of green things that will grow in the area from spring onwards.

Because every plant contains phenols: aromatic bitter substances which, together with washing soda and vitamin C, convert the photographic silver salts into metallic silver. The basis of black and white negative photography!
