“Der kleine Ort Bokel nahe Rendsburg in der Mitte Schleswig-Holsteins schreibt eine bundesweit einzigartige Dorfgeschichte: Bokel ist in 30 Jahren zum Mekka der Zirkuswagen geworden. In dem 640-Einwohner-Dorf stehen mittlerweile fast 50 Gefährte dieser Art. Die Flotte der Zirkuswagen ist das Zuhause von Lebenskünstlern und das Resultat feinster Handwerkskunst. Noch dazu verbinden die Wagen zwei Welten in einem Ort: Traditionelles Landleben harmoniert mit modernem Minimalismus.”

„The small village of Bokel near Rendsburg in the centre of Schleswig-Holstein is writing a unique village history in Germany: in 30 years, Bokel has become a Mecca for circus wagons. There are now almost 50 vehicles of this type in the village of 640 inhabitants. The fleet of circus wagons is the home of life artists and the result of the finest craftsmanship. What’s more, the wagons combine two worlds in one place: traditional country life harmonises with modern minimalism.“
